Yesterday evening Thelma, my 01 Convertible was hit by a drunk driver on Route 1 just south of Melbourne, Florida. My problem is that I just moved to Florida 3 years ago, and have no go-to body/paint people that I know and trust down here.
I was hit 2 years ago when I first moved to Florida, and the other insurance company sent me to Gerber Body and Collision. Having just moved here and not knowing the area, I took her there. Bad decision.
If anyone knows of a good body and paint shop in the Space Coast area of Florida, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations
I'm taking my '99 to Burke Corvettes in Maitland for some weatherstrip. Stopped by, pretty impressed. Lot of cars in work, not a lot of available parking... http://www.burkecorvettes.com/
FWIW, I'd simply replace the fender and rear bumper cover. It's a two hour job at most (not including painting, and alignment) everything bolts into place, yo might even be lucky enough to find them in matching colors at VetteNutts.
Try Olivers in Melbourne, they are good friends of mine and do great collision repair. He always has high end cars in there. The Chevelle was painted over 28 years ago (not mine anymore) before he became my friend. The spoiler was done recently, it had to be fixed (bought used) the paint matched perfectly, it was not even buffed it came out so good, we just stuck it on.
good luck

I'm not sure if its the lighting or the car but it looks like you already had paint issues before the accident. The insurance company will deduct a percentage from the repair estimate, betterment ? If I remember. Depending on what you want the car to look like after its fixed you might have to spend some $$$ and do the whole car.
DOH!!!!!
I agree with Is777z, it looks like your paint is in terrible shape to begin with. Are you looking for a whole new paint job? If so, be prepared to spend some $. Best wishes in the repair and I'm glad no one got hurt.

Actually, it was just the drivers door and quarter panel. They were painted by a dealer that’s no longer in business after the car was sideswiped 10 years ago. The paint just faded. The rest of the car is fine. I was going to get it painted this spring anyway, so this is going to save me money.
i have also heard very good things about Burke's in Maitland.
