Ever since I saw a set of wheels dipped in red snake skin on a tv show, Wheeler Dealers, I’ve been thinking about how it would look on my Torch Red 2000 Base coupe. Just wondering if anyone has experience with hydro dipped wheels, how durable is it, and is it removable if it becomes nasty. Pics would be great if anyone had it done.

It would like one of the below:
a) Silly
b) Awful
c) Ghetto
d) Tasteless
e) All of the above
As far as hydro-dipping wheels is concerned, it will be durable if the hydro-dipper offers a clearcoat as an additional step. For example, my fuel rail covers are hydro-dipped and coated with 2 coats of automotive clear. The printed pattern is locked in, and I can polish/wax my covers for additional protection and gloss.

Those covers look awesome. Is there a vendor that does those?
