You just retired, getting rid of a toy now would be sad. Now is the time when you’ll have plenty of time to really enjoy the car. Plenty of good solutions have been posted aside from selling the car, so think carefully before you go that far

Is the "date" still around, or did she wander off, after a while, like most of these stories end?

Sorry to hear this Old Jack. My current house has a driveway which is pretty steep but if I take it at an angle, I can get it in with only the air dam scraping. My neighbors look at me weird when they hear the scraping of the air dam but it does no damage.

Problem is the house sets on a hill and the driveway is steep and at a angle and road is coming down hill. Having driveway redone will require having a retaining wall.

Post pictures of the driveway. What happens when you try to pull in? Ive spent many years driving extremely low cars and always found a way to pull in anywhere i had to go. Whats the worse that could happen, some scrapes on the bottom of the car?

Your first mistake is going to KY to retire
Then, you always take the Vette to see the house before you buy.
If it does not go into the driveway, you move on to the next house.

I'm in Mass right now so no pictures. Coming up hill would be worse.
I think I might leave it with my grandson or have it flat bed to top of drive, put in garage and have the driveway reworked. No new suv for wife

I had much the same feeling after sealing the deal on our new house and then bottoming out the Vette when I tried to pull in to the driveway!!

However, I did figure out how to pull in at a given angle to avoid any scraping.

Sounds like your's is a more severe issue. We'll wait to see some pics.

old jack , If your away from new property and have smart phone Try googling address , then street view and take screen shot of driveway. Then you could post picture without being there. Hope this helps. Hope you solve problem and able to keep Corvette.
