has anyone tried these shocks that are sold on amazon. Complete set front and rear , Vekwena gas filled for $86 or VioGi set for $88.75. Amazon says they will fit 2002 corvette. I will be eliminating f45 shocks. Don't see any review ratings. Lifetime warrenty. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them. thank you

You aren't driving a Pinto, don't buy shocks like you are.
I went with the GM C6 ZO6 shocks when i replaced the F45 shocks.
You can get the entire set of four for $310. I know that's almost twice of the ones you are looking at but you are getting known quality and peice of mind.

It really depends on how he drives his car. If he drives less than a thousand miles a year on easy Sunday cruises then it makes no sense to get the best high performance shocks. The cheapest will probably work out just fine. If they don't, he really isn't out much. If they do, then all is well.

Have never heard of either of those brands.
It’s your money and your car, but regardless of how much you drive your car, I would want a trusted product installed on it. I would echo the recommendation of the C6 Z06 shocks.
I went through this with my C3. Everyone said I should only get the best since it was a Corvette. They were "shocked" that I was even considering less than the the best. After talking about it to an extremely good mechanic friend of mine and hearing his recommendations, I went with some cheaper shocks. For 30K miles, up until I sold it, those shocks worked absolutely perfect for me. Great ride and handling. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it can't work great.
Now it really all depends on how the OP drives and what his needs are. These cars are 20 year old used cars.

yes they have good price. Local napa has same shocks marked down and 10%off if order on line and pick up at store, price very close to rock auto. thanks
I have been running C6 Z51 shocks for almost 10 years now. Nice compromise between Z06 (too harsh of a jolt for an old guy) and stock.
I bought several sets up when guys with the C6 Z51 option were taking them off and doing something else.
I have 2 extra sets - and as they are holding up fine, I will sell you one of the set of 4 for $95 shipped. They are a direct replacement - official GM parts - with less than 8,000 miles on them.
If interested, I can post some pictures. I also have my stock set which I took off at 12,000 but I want to keep those in case I need to revert to something softer.

Out of curiosity, is your C5 a Z51 or standard soft ride ?
I have a Z51 and put on bilstein sports, and they're really harsh. I already put new stock shocks back on the rear but the oem front shocks are discontinued. Lots of people have recommended C6 Z06 to me, but I'm worried they won't be enough of an improvement. So I'm thinking about the bilstein HD, which should be noticeably softer than the sports. But maybe the C6 Z51 would be a good too.
