They automatically adjust (dim) for someones bright lights in your rearview....

This is a great option. I have never had these until two weeks ago. Not only does it work, but its quick. Also instead of just clear and dim with the manual mirrors, the electrochromics have variable degrees of dimming.
A must have for the money!!

Learn something new here every day!!! Somehow I had missed that the pax side mirror didn't dim. And actually my mechanic at dealership was going to trouble shoot it for me to see what was wrong with it.... :confused:

My opinion is that they SUCK big time! The dimming is nowhere enough. I wish I had gone without this option so I can flip that lever. The same feature in my Lexus LX470 really dims the other cars' headlights.

I've heard that tinting makes the inside mirror non-operative. (Of course with tint you might not need it anyway... :D ) Anyone know if that is true. I never seem to notice any dimming on my Z (with metalic tint).

Of course, I had no choice since it was standard on my Z06. I don't like the reflection of the HUD frame in the windshield, either. I would have passed on both of these features, if possible.
But I would NOT have passed on the 405 HP!
