I just cut mine on the wiper motor side... no ill effects so far. Let the crap fall out onto the road!

Why not just cut them all off? I don't see that they have any function other than collecting debris...

I don't get it either. Why not just just have the debris flow to the street and be done with it? There must be a good reason but I sure as hell can't think of one now.

pulled and replaced the battery in my 99 and it looked like the udder on the pass. side of my car ran down under where the battery would sit down toward the removable panel underneath the car. Was I looking at the wrong hose? The three on the drivers side are now clear.

Probably looking at the right hose. It's about 20" or so long.

If you look at post #10, in the video he takes it out and cleans it.

This is similar to how the C5 engineers figured out how to design the Corvette...but they forgot to look at a ducks bill for the top rear fascia...
