AC Delco Battery 78-7YR
Does anyone know if AC Delco still sells thev78-7YR battery? I need a battery and the parts guy told me the longest warranty on a battery is now 48 months. Has anyone else had that experience?

I think the parts guy is right. I just had to get a battery last week and I couldn't find anything longer than 48 months. I ended up with an AGM with a 3 year warranty.

Yes, the 7 yr warranty is a thing of the past. I just recently, within the last 2 weeks, replaced a Delco Pro that went bad. It was a couple of months shy of 2 yrs and it was replaced for free.

I just recently replaced the battery in my 2003 with an Interstate MTP-75. Comes with 30 month free warranty and 6 year performance warranty. It has 700 CCA.

I sell Delco batteries all day long, including to the GM dealers. Their longest warrany 78 series is indeed 48 months free replacement, pro-rate has gone away.
