Default Battery replacement

Hi guys, I bought a new battery for my 1998 C5 coupe which I have already installed.

Now I can’t remember how to put the foam rubber and shroud back on.

It’s a long story because I took them off last year.

The physical size and side posts are the same as stock. I would appreciate any instructions. Thanks in advance,

Steve

If you are talking about that curved L shaped plastic piece that goes between the battery and the engine and the fuse block, There should be three holes in it. One goes into a large plastic push pin by the fuse block. The second goes into the grounding point on the engine side of the battery. The third goes into a push pin that goes through the windshield wiper cowl. It takes a bit of maneuvering to get the piece in place but when it is the holes just about line themselves up on their own. If you want pics someone else will have to provide them because I seem to fight a losing battle anytime I try to post them.

Yes, exactly,
I have twisted it in all kinds of orientations and can’t get it in there. If anybody has pics, I think that may show the answer.
Before doing the shroud I need to get the foam rubber piece on first. Maybe I didn't ask my question clearly enough. I figure that if I can get the shroud on the foam rubber part would be easily seen.

Not sure what foam you are talking about other than a sleeve that slips over the battery itself. If you have a pic, that might help.
