Just purchased my 3rd C5. Beautiful Nassau Blue 2000 auto convertible bone stock. Been away for a few years. Looking to replace all 4 tires. Recommendations appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your C5!
I'm the opposite of a lot of the members. For our normal driving which includes a lot of trips in the 200-400 mile range, and being slightly advanced in years, we prefer run flats and are running Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus ZP. Run Flats have improved significantly since their introduction two decades, or so, ago.
If we did decide to drag race again, we'll use our M&H on shorter wheels. Obviously, if we decided to track the car we would also use different tires.
You may get more feedback on tires by posting your question in the General area of the C5 section of the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1997-2004-2/.
Best wishes with your tire search.

Reason: typo
this topic has been beat to death over the years with so many opinions but with that being said we need some input to better assist you.
first of all looking at your avatar I see you are in Cali so that helps...what kind of driving do you do? is it a pleasure weekend car or a daily driver?
Your weather in Cali is a bit different than mine in FLA....we can run summer tires pretty much year round and we get a lot of rain so for me I need something with good wet and dry traction in a summer high performance tire, you could probably get away with something less focused on wet weather.
I always say that there is more to making the right tire choice for you than just what everyone else does because of the reasons I listed above.
and FWIW I was running BFG Rival S on my C5 before I parted it out and I am running Toyo Proxes T1 on my C6Z06

It really all depends on how you plan on driving it. If you are only going to put a few hundred miles a year to car shows and Sunday cruises, then get the lowest price tires. They will expire before you wear them out. If you are going to drive the wheels off it get Michelins. If you are only going to drive it in the summer, get summer tires. Summer tires are quieter because of less aggressive tread design, better in the rain because of deep channels to move water away, and have better traction because of the softer compound. They do not wear as well. If it is driven year round in cold temps, get all season.
I bought Bridgestone Potenzas Summer tires 5 years ago and put 25K miles on them. Great tire, reasonably priced, smooth and quiet, great traction, and are wearing really well. I don't drive it in the winter.
I have Firestone Firehawks Indy 500’s. I drive aggressively on dry roads they wear pretty well and hookup ok, I’m around 550hp to the wheels. I get caught in the rain every once in a while and they seem very safe to me. I know nothing of winter driving as I live in Florida.
I bought the Michelin pilot sport AS3+ great tire all around but pricey was going to buy a set of the Firestone Indy 500 for half the price but none were in stock when I wanted them. Have a set of the Michelin run flats on another set of wheels both good but like the non run flats better, less worry with the run flats for running around town. Both will get twice the life of the Firestones. Only problem I have with the Michelin's is they took the sequel out of them they spin but don't talk back.

They are pretty cheap and look good to me
Good luck
What he said. Go to Tire Rack and check out the Indy 500's, if you have other than stock sizes you can change that . Great price and reviews.
Go to Tire Rack web site, get some prices and then have your local dealer meet or beat their price so you don't get stuck with big shipping frees or get ripped off by their installers. I went with Hankook tires and am happy so far.
Thank you all for your responses. I guess I should have been more specific. I'm in southern California and plan to drive to shows and Sunday cruises. 2k to 3k a year. Not looking to track or run hard. Admin, thank you for moving to General.

You certainly don't need the best, most expensive tires. Bridgestone Potenzas, Hankook, Firestone Indy 500s, are three inexpensive tires that get good reviews around here. Check out Tire Rack.

Btw, I forgot to mention if you happen to buy at tire Rack you can have them shipped to one of their certified installers near you who you trust and choose which one for the lowest price. I've used it many times and never had a problem.
I just ordered four Kuhmos V 12’s. No run craps for me. Started out with Michelin A/S 4, had ordered two rears, changed my mind, with couple hundred more go four V 12’s. I never had any problems with them.
If you want really cheap tires you could go with the Achilles. One forum member just bought a set and loves them. About 80 bucks apiece. For your style and amount of driving I would consider them.
For the purpose stated and estimated mileage, you would be throwing $$$ out the window on the Pilots. Best bang for the buck would be the Contis or Firehawks.

I would add Bridgestone Potenzas and Hankooks to that list.
