Default Blend door actuator

I'm getting ready to pull the dash cover on my 01 to replace the auto blend door actuators and would like to know which brand is the best to use and is there a left & right actuator or does the same part work on either side?

Left side and right side are different part numbers. I do not have a recommendation as to which manufacturer is the best.

Both actuators are the same if you have the dual zone system. Use Dorman 604-106. The passenger side is tough to get to. Long 1/4" drive extension is needed.

Finished today, I had one bad actuator (left) and changed both actuators and the hazard/turn signal switch, it is next to impossible to get that switch out, I was able to disconnect the plug after the dash cover was loose and raised up, even with the cover upside down on the floor I still had a hard time as the upper release is hidden. The drivers side actuator was the hardest as some duct work has to be moved out of the way and I took the instrument cluster loose to gain some working room, the bottom screw on that actuator is a bit of a pita the right side is pretty easy however as the screws are easy to get to, good luck.
