I've always liked a red car with a tan interior. As I'm planning for some future projects I need some guidance. My seats are getting to a point where I'm looking for new covers. I like the red/black combo to go with the red exterior. The black seats in a convertible are tough in the summer. As another thought I wouldn't mind going to the full tan seats. I'd replace my carpet to match and try to do something with the lower door sections and lower dash panels to make it look stock. At some point I would also need to get a new top so that would also be tan if I changed color schemes. Has anyone added new surface covering to match the seats? I know I can use a vinyl paint for the doors and lower panels but I'd prefer something more durable like a glued on matching leather finish. Has anyone tackled this before? Just wondering how difficult it would be to keep the leather tight to the curves of the panels.
I think tan would look good with the red. Several interior vendors on the forum offer seat covers as well as door panels. I'm sure there are others but you might want to check Apsis, Corvette America, Redline Accessories, and Ridies. You can also find some replacement door panels on eBay - sorry the name escapes me, but I'm sure someone else can assist here. And, you could consider good quality used door panels from a vendor such as Vettenuts.
Best wishes with your interior work!
I've got the tan seats in my 02 vert and I like them. Wouldn't own a vert with black seats in the south (or anywhere). My previous Miata MX5 had black seats and they were so hot I rarely put the top down. Kinda kills the roadster experience if you leave the top up all the time. Good luck!
I'm in Fl with black seats and no problem and they always look clean. I just had Kidzkin leather seats installed - sweet, It would be hard to find used door panels that haven't come unglued. For a top check out www.topsonline.com for a Robbins top.

We have lot of different patterns/colors to choose from.
Thanks
I've heard a lot of good comments about your product. Your prices are very competitive as well. I think I'm going to go with the black and red theme with the two tone seats. I ordered some samples of the two leathers you offer. Do you sell extra matching leather material so I can wrap the lower dash panels and door sections on the bottom in red? Do you think this is possible with real leather or should I try a synthetic leather if its more pliable around curves? I'd rather wrap it in leather than try and dye it to match. Thanks.
I’m very intereted In doing some interior color additions to highlight the tension blue hash marks on my car. Would you be able to provide a picture of what the “passion blue” option looks like? I’d like to see if it’s in the shade range I’d find acceptable?

Yes we do extra material too.
You should do panels in the same material as seat covers so that texture, etc. match perfectly.

You might want to check out the salvage yard for some of the pieces for the dash and doors. You can find original tan interiors there for some of those pieces and then use some of the supporting venders for seats etc.. I found the lower drivers side dash piece (tan and black) from a salvage yard to replace my tan and black original piece that I didn't want to modify.
Thanks for the tip. I went and started a search on eBay and there are many vendors with reasonbly priced parts.i don't want to ruin my original pieces if I can avoid it in case I want to go back to original.
I just recently ordered my new seats covers from Ridies and the workmanship and quality is great. I have not put them on yet for I'm waiting for a sale new foam, winter project. I could not be happier right now but biting at the bit to put them on before winter.
That reminds me of my first ever C5. It was white with Firethorn red which I hated.
It took me three months to completely tsource an all black interior including the seat covers, carpets, door panel, and under dash pieces. it was harder back then because the model was fairly recent.
The car was transformed in one afternoon after all the parts were sourced.
Sold the Firethron stuff locally on the cheap. AHHH.... the memories

I changed my 07 C6 VR vert from a black interior to the tan (Cashmere).
I bought the door panels, console, glove box, knee bolster, etc.
Everything except the carpet. Couldn't see ripping it out. Added a nice contrast.
You could just pick up a set of tan floor mats or weather tech type mats in tan.
I attached the final results.

You will be even happier once you install them. They will make your car look like a brand new car from inside. But be patient and take the time to install covers properly. Take the time to remove wrinkles.
Once you remove your old seat covers and feel that your foams are in bad condition then change them too.

Here is the picture, but if you want to be sure then please give us your name/address and we will send you samples.
