i been looking on this site for awhile, and finally joined. I don’t have my own Vette yet, but my sister does. I’ve talked her into several light mods and repairs that I’ve done for her. It’s a triple black convertible. The one issue I have is with the windows. I’m told about a “no-pinch” feature on convertibles. Apparently when the battery is changed if affects this function. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes it’s a convertible. I’m told there is a feature that puts the windows down about 3/4 or an inch so you can open and close doors and then the windows go back up when you start the car or close the doors.
Thanks for the info. I was just going by what I was told by my sister. She had it to a interior shop and they were the ones that told her about it. Now I’m trying to get her todo some engine mods. Any suggestions? Nothing to radical, she wants to stay close Rostock as possible. I suggested some exhaust mods to start with. Everything is stock.
Kidding, if you venture to off-topic section you'll understand...
Anyway, depends on what she wants....you mentioned exhaust....you could add an aftermarket catback to make the car "sound" better.
My 1st mod was a short throw shifter and that really changed the feel of the car.
If you're not looking specifically for HP gains I'd leave the engine alone...although some "light" mods could include a different intake (air cleaner) such as a blackwing or vararam.
If shes more a waxer, then look into some engine dress up bits.
