I got mine off eBay maybe two years ago, just plug and play, and they are 5-10X brighter than the stock bulbs, I can SEE now when backing up, and it also helps to angle the light assembly and plate down a bit, to direct the light down to the ground instead of up into the sky the way it sits normally. Just put some sort of shim behind the upper part of the housing and screw it back on, and I forget, t but you may need slightly longer screws with the shim in place to hold it on compared to stock. There is nothing special about these bulbs and there is no reason to spend anywhere near $50 for them - $20 is even way too much. I will see if I can find what and where I got mine from.
I've had a number of backup bulbs from a variety of sources for my z and now my coupe. I find my latest, from Radioflyer are better than any Ebay ones I have. I have a couple of pairs and did a side by side comparison.
Purchased an Alure rear license plate assy with LED bulbs and better reflectors, exspensive but worth the investment Replaces standard rear plate holder assy.

I have the Adjure unit as well. bought it lightly used and the seller sent along the bulbs he had. I used my own that were much brighter.
I also have a set of the RadioFlyer LED reverse lights. My C5 came with the Adjure backup lamp housing and at night, the LED's really light up the area behind my car.
I bought a set of Cree led bulbs off of ebay a few years ago. Plenty bright. Don't waste your money on adjure or whatever it's called light housings. These Cree lights are bright enough.
Some people think that the more they pay, the better or brighter the light is and that's not necessarily true. If I stand behind my car, my inexpensive LEDs are too bright to look into, I can see easily 20-30' behind my car and looking into my backup camera, it is brighter than daylight. This is a BACKUP light, not a headlight, so just how far behind you do you have to see? You can easily blind a car right in back of you with these lights. Save your money for something more important. And tilt the plate down like I said, you will see even further.
