A friend and I over the course of two weekends installed a Kenwood DDX9904x A/V in my 99 C5 FRC. We used a converted bezel that was offered by a forum vendor no longer associated with the forum. The entire Bose system was replaced - speakers, amp, subwoofer, cameras, wiring, etc. I took it to a reputable shop to have the system fine tuned. The tech thought the install was well done; however, that the bezel was poor quality (broken/missing clips) and get a better quality one that was molded in one piece. The Metra brand bezel was mentioned most often. Has anyone here had any experience - good or bad - with the Metra, or any other brand? Thank you in advance!
I had a Kenwood installed in my 2000 vert that I got from the same ex vendor that you got yours from. After three years of looking at the fit and finish of the altered bezel I decided to get the Vettnuts bezel and it was well worth the investment. It fits like a glove and all of the clips are where they are intended to be. The seams are even all the way around and the Kenwood tilt display functions with no modifications.
I've got a kenwood ddx9702s in mine with the metra bezel. Very happy with metra. Like the fit & finish & at just under $200. I like it so much I used a metra bezel in My escalade (a lot more work to install) to put another kenwood in it.

I replaced my modified DD bezel with the Vettenuts radio bezel and could not be happier, the fit was perfect.
My car came with this double din DVD / Navi screen by Pioneer. The dash panel itself, I have no idea who made it but they did a pretty good job.
Only issue is, the screen tilts out to allow feeding it CD's and DVD's, but I have to pull on the screen by hand to help it along or it remains stuck in the dash.
Metra bezel with a Kenwood in mine....love the fitment. I was apprehensive to get this one as the finished texture is different than the factory bezel but I'm not that fussy....
