Gonna peel some tint off my back window and replace with darker but it has the defroster on it........should i tint over whats there or try to pull the old tint off? Really don't want to screw up the defroster wires. Any thoughts??????
Personally, I would take it to a professional tint installer and let them do the job. It would be worth the money knowing if they screw it up, it is on their dime.

Was gonna try to save a little $ by pulling it off myself (all the installers I know charge extra to pull the old off), but you may be right. My luck would be id peel the heat strips off like a banana!

Window tint film removes easily if you use ammonia based window cleaner. Kind of a mess. The tint place will usually remove it for a fee. Mine wanted $50. No blades necessary, just cleaner and a bunch of paper towels.

True, you really don't want to mess this up,just to save a few bucks.let the pro do it & make sure you prove to them that the rear defrost works,so if there is a problem later its their fault.
