Just joined and I need a quick answer.
We have a 2004 coupe, base motor, automatic, heads up display with selective ride. It has 16,000 miles. The car is like brand new. I'm looking at a 2007 coupe, base motor, manual. It happens to be silver also, with 22,000 miles.
i think I want a manual. Not really looking for or need more performance. Would this be a up, down or sideways trade? What are your opinions?

If I were going to look at a C6, I think I would be looking at an ‘08 or newer since it has the LS3 motor. I just think it is a better motor. However, if the ‘07 is equipped with the options you want, I’d say it is still an upgrade from your ‘04.

I'd compare NADA because my personal history indicates they better reflect the real market but expect to pay dearly if it's a dealer trade situation. Definitely an UP trade $$$

Yes to the above comment. I would have also suggested NADA.
As to the LS2? Friend of mine has an '06 with well over 65,000 miles. Trouble free and a very good engine. (IMHO) Although I have an '08, I'd not balk at an earlier model. Oh, and you'll love the manual transmission. Good luck with your choice.

You need to drive both and get your own sense of the differences. Don't base your decision on $ alone. Let the experience tell you what to do.
I have an 03 Z06 and drove my brother's 2013 Grand Sport. I'm happy with my 03.

Drive the '07 and see how it compares. Everybody varies in what they like.
Best wishes with your decision.

I did it. The '07 is noticeably quieter and the ride is a little better. The mpg is 4 better with the manual. Truck space is less. Hoping the headlights will be better too.
My beautiful '04 is at Roger's in Edgerton, MN.
