I’ve had this set of factory GM C5 Thin Spokes for a while and now that I have some time I was polishing them up when I found a crack on one wheel, the Front wheel.I was sanding the crack and it wouldn’t sand out, so I filed into the crack a little to see if it really was a crack or if it was just a stain and I couldn’t file it out either.I’m not going to use it like this so now IDK what to do.These look like polished wheels.So I may be looking for a different set of wheels, but I need help. Now I know there are different types of Thin Spokes but I am a little confused on which are the better Thin Spokes to use. I’ve read that the Speed Line cast wheels have less cracking issues. I currently have a set of Replica knock offs, probably made in China but IDK on my 1999 with less than 70,000 miles on it. They look exactly like the GM thin spokes, but they weigh more and I just don’t like the knock offs so I was hoping to replace them with factory Thin Spokes and now I find a crack. I don’t race the car, I just drive it around from time to time. My hopes and dreams have been dashed. What should I do ?? I need some advice.
