Default C5 Tires

My 2003 ZO6 is need of replacement tires. (It still has the OE tires with 4,000 miles on them.) What tire choices do I have other than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars. The staggered sizes creates a problem when looking for tires other than the Goodyears.

Swap those originals out....They're too old and could be a safety concern.
Not many choices in factory stock Z06 tire sizes.
The Goodyear F1 Supercars are still available.
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports are available.
I'm going to switch to factory 18 inch C5 Z06 Speedline rear rims on the front.
Tire sizes I'm going with will be 295/35/18 (rear) and 275/35/18 (front).
Opens up a few more tire options and keeps a the front to rear stagger (in tire size).
Some go with a 275/40/17 up front with 295/35/18 on the rear without any issues.
Regards,
Silverbird

Look at tire diameters and width's when looking at tires. if you stock system is 25.7/26.7" diameters going to a smaller diameter tire (lower profile) in the rear like 26.1" means you should look for a front tire of 25.5"

For example on stock tires a very good tire is the Michelin PS4 with 245/45x17 front at 25.5" and 285/35x18 at 25.9" would make a good tire combo on stock rims. However of the Z06 you are better to go to 18" rims front and rear because of larger selection of tires. In that case you could a 265/35x18 front and the same 285/35x18 rears. There a a lot of good tires available in the 18" tire size.

Drop the run craps. Second set of Hankook V-12s. You’ll need a plug kit, in twelve years only need to plug twice, I think.

What performance category are you looking at? All-seasons, summer tires, or streetable track/competition?

I wouldn't worry about moving up or down a size to find tires that fit. As Gordy mentioned above, as long as your front tires are about an inch shorter than the rear ones, you should be OK.

Also,
Toyo Proxies T1 Sports are available in stock C5 Z06 sizes.
The sizes are not listed on Tire Racks website.
I think a Forum member recently ordered a set from Jegs.
They get fairly good reviews on Youtube.
Good luck with your decision.
