So we're throughly enjoying our new-to-us, '04 C5 Commemorative Edition Convert! One thing that keeps making us comment however is that there's no real audible or tactile "ClicK" when you fasten the seatbelts like our newer cars do. I've shot some TriFlow lubricant in the buckle and although that made it easier to work overall, still no click! So the question is, is this normal? If that's the way it is, well, that's the way it is! Inquiring minds want to know. Click or no click?
Mine do not *click* either. However, I never rely on sound. I always give a fastened belt a pull to make sure it is secure. The red light on your dashboard is also a no-brainer.

Queue the sarcasm, but it can be a real issue. Same problem here, no tactile feel when it's actually latched, and for my 79 year old mother it was a problem. She really struggled getting the belt fastened. She's been visiting us for the last couple weeks, and rode with me everywhere. She loves riding in it, but that stupid seat belt caused her a problem every single time. I'm used to it, but passengers definitely have trouble. Just a poor design.
