I seen this C5 coupe tonight. It appeared to be a low option car but highly optioned from an Ecklers or Corvette America stand point. Lifting the hatch must be quite a chore with that rear spoiler. Maybe I’m wrong tho...
Actually, I had a factory installed spoiler much like that on on my WS6 T/A and never noticed any issues opening the hatch. Can't say for sure if this would challenge the C5's hatch struts or not.
As far as the chrome add-ons - to each his own. I can't say much since many of my exterior, interior and engine parts are aftermarket, too.
Glad to see the owner got his car back after the thief stole it and drove it through that Auto Zone and Home Depot. Can't wait to see how the car looks after the owner repairs it.

I am sure the owner loves it, so that is all that matters.

I'm fairly sure that actually is a normal Trans Am High Rise Spoiler(93-02 Spoiler, I've had a few 4th gen T/A and Camaros), with a little up swept lip molded onto it at the rear. I've seen a C6 guy with one on his before as well, but didn't have it custom like this one, just bolted it on directly to the C6 Hatch.
