DQOTD...Jacking up 'vette
Ok, I have a dq...I installed the elite engineering aluminum frame rails on the car. When I put the jack on the front lifting pad and lift the car, not only does the front wheel go off the ground but the back as well. Is this normal? I lift it to put 4 1/2" blocks under the wheels so I can put the yoke and jack under the car to lift it up to put it on jack stands. --- TIA -- Leroy

C5's do not flex so yes the car will lift as you stated.I have the Elite rails and have noticed that you have to be careful when jacking at the square pads.Depending on the type of cradle on your jack,it may slide a little while raising.

Yep, completely normal. Mine does it also and I have the hard plastic rails. Comes in handy when rotating tires, you only need 1 jack......no, not really as you know....lol

I use jacking pucks on mine and if I lift high enough, both wheels on one side will lift off the ground. It’s normal.
