Leak around window

Leak around window
I noticed my passenger side windo was leaking a little at the top when I washed my 04 vert . The weather strip looks good , but I could see that that’s where the water was getting in.. does anyone know If the weather strip can be adjusted so that it seals tighter ? Any help / info would be great. Thanks.

The glass has to be adjusted to make the seal better. There are multiple adjustments that can be done to correct this. First of which is to reposition the glass on the regulator so that is is as close to the correct position as possible then adjust the window tip adjusters for the fine positioning. When done correctly the window glass will not touch the convertible top and sit flush with the weather strips. It can take an hour to adjust properly.

+1 to what Gary said above. I had the same issue on my 04 on my passenger side window. I'd get a few drops of water running down inside after washing it, and I had quite a bit of wind noise as well. Noticed mine was sitting maybe 1/4" too low on the weatherstripping. Pull the door panel off and adjust it until it sits better and you should be good to go. Both issues disappeared for me after getting it to seal up better.

If the leak is at the upper rear corner there is an adjustment on the bottom of the door that may do it. Quick and easy. I had water and wind noise, this fixed me.

I have a number of files that discuss the water leak problem in C5s. If you'd like a copy of the files, PM me your e-mail address and I'll get them to you.

My car is a Vert. Not sure yours is , but I suspect the idea is the same.
I took the door panel off, and popped off the plastic covers to the adjustment screws / window clamps. I loosened up the window and adjusted the forward/ backward position as well as the height of the window to make a better seal with the top weather strip. This will take some time to finally get a good sweet spot. Once found , you can tighten everything up and put the door panel back together. If yours is a Vert. be careful to not let the window rub or get caught in the back of the Vert top.
Also note that there is an adjustment for the tilt of the window, one under the door and one in behind the door panel. Adjust them slowly to get the optimal seal.

I have a similar issue where the window on the passenger side top rear gets hung up on the corner of the top when I close the door with the window up. It does not get caught when just closing the window. Can I use the same adjustments?
