I'll echo ArtClassShank's answer. This is a real common wheel swap some owners of early C5s do to switch away from the "wagon wheel".
It doesn't look like the TPMS valve stems are still in the wheels, but remember if they are your '98 will not read the '04's tire pressure signal so you'll need to replace with TPMS for '97-'00 C5s.
I just installed C6 wheels onto my 1999. 17" front, 18" rear tires. No problem, just make sure you install your 1997 tire pressure sensors (valve stems ) into your new wheels. Set the pressure to factory specs 30 PSI in all 4.
Thanks guys! My TPMS battery is dead as door nail. As much as it's annoying to press reset button every so often I don't want to spend like $150.- $ 200 on sensors.
