I've seen a few posts about this recently - I have one in mine that I got from a vendor at Carlisle a few years back. Works "well enough" and my buddy with a Miata was able to use it in his as well. I couldn't recall who made it - dove in this morning and read the back....

Too intrusive to the passenger side.
Passengers always bumping into it.
No thanks.
There's a nice one in another thread that uses the existing holder.
Much better in my opinion.

Normal size people usually don't have a problem with this type holder, even when it's got a drink in it. I have the one with two holders that fits in roughly the same place, and it doesn't intrude at all.
I'm 5'10" tall and weigh 190.

I made a similar one that actually would hold two cups. I drink a lot! I do not hear my wife complain about the access or leg room. In fact she offers to put my cup there.
