I'm 46... been behind the wheel of a Vette since 26. They are always my go-to for therapy rides. If I'm feeling down, drive the Vette. If I need some time to think, drive the Vette. If I'm feeling old, drive the Vette.

Hell, just yesterday my damn neck/shoulder muscles started killing me. So, what did I do? I dropped the convertible top on the vette so I had better visibility (to turn my neck less) and took a short drive around the neighborhood. I felt better while driving, but still hurt after I went home. Oh well. At least I got a few moments of vette relief.

Wow I'm old, clocking in at 59. My first vette was my collage graduation gift to my self. I bought a 2 year old 78 pace car in 1980 from a friend. My reasoning at the time was every one I saw driving this amazing vehicle was an old man (now I'm him) so I worked 2 jobs throughout collage and that was my first of many Corvettes. I've had C4's, a 91, 92, 93 anniversary and a 96 with the LT 4. Then I had a 98 pace car and for some reason sold that. I went back to the cool looks of a 79 because I was going through Vette withdrawals, but man you can never go back from a C5 to a C3, different animal. I sold that and bought my current C5 a 2004 CE Convert. I've had this one since 2006 and I'm not looking back. She had 6k on it when I bought her in FL and and now she has 78K. Its my DD / trip car and all around driver. She's been in airport parking lots, snow / rain and always looks and rides great. Always puts a smile on my face and I know she always will!

It's been five years already. Never had a car that brought that many smiles to the mile.

If I had one car and used it as my daily, I would have amassed 240k miles in that span of time. Yeah I spend way too much time with my butt in a seat.

I'm a little jealous.

Your not alone. I'm 42 and I love my FRC. I'm a former C4 owner and also loved that car, but not like my 2000 frc. I bought it last year 3 weeks before Christmas with only 23k on it. It's a one owner car, the car was garaged all of its life and looks/smells like new. I will be installing a cam in it the next few weeks and getting a tune.

I'm about to celebrate my 21st annual 29th birthday, and I'll do it in a Corvette. My second vette after a C4 ZR-1, and really just been an owner the past 3 years or so, and I love them. I've driven sports cars since I was 16 and will never stop.

I'm 65, and own a 2003 A/E. It sat in the garage with only 20,000 miles on it since I bought it in 2003, and then one day I said to myself "WHY DID YOU BUY IT". So since the last two years, it now has 48,000 miles been on it with numerous trips recently a 4000 mile bucket list trip. The Grand Kids are now saying Grandpa is driving the crap out it and not giving it to us HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Getting ready to go to Effingham Ill and Eureka Springs for the Corvette Shows there.

[QUOTE=Mr. Black;1597819214]97 with 28k miles here. I swear it's like a brand new 21 year old car. I'm going to cry when it turns over 30k.

My pro tip of the day for fighting off mileage hoarding is to turn the display off of Odometer and leave it on average MPG lol.[/QUO

Mileage hoarding...new term to me but I like it. People who farm garage queens vs people who drive them. Close to 156,000 miles but NOT crying.
