Default R-hooks

Alright guys , did R-hooks come with our cars, the more I read it seems the more I don’t know, lmao!
If so where are they hiding?
If not where can we purchase them?
Has anybody been towed before and needed them?
Whats the deal thanks Cruzbox

I've been towed. They have hooked onto the front subframe and dragged me up onto the flatbed. I've since purchased the Pfadt Racing Front Recovery Hook: http://www.pfadtracing.com/docs/c5-front-tow-hook.pdf

LOL! tow hooks during when the C5 was being built were maybe on select German marque cars. They've only recently become a "thing" to install OEM on most cars.

As the Pfadt product shows you can access the front subframe pretty easily and install a hook. If you're willing to leave a visible hook there.

Having something on the rear would be a bit more difficult. The subframe isn't the most easiest thing to access because of the rear fascia and the impact absorber directly behind it. The muffler slits are not high enough to meet the lower portion of the sub frame either.

Actually installing a rear tow hook is a piece of cake. It installs where the muffler hanger sits. 5 minutes tops.

It's been too long since I bought them so no idea if the numbers on the item are still valid.
