They fit perfectly in the Corvette recesses already molded into the bumper. Hard to mess up unless you’re drunk.

Well I also installed letters on the front, and they were a little more difficult because they were so low it was hard to see if I was getting them on straight & level. I had to sit on the garage floor, and even then I almost screwed up one of the E's.

Might have been easier to take the plate cover off and do it on a table.

I did this too, and it worked very well. The key is to be sure it's properly prep'd, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Default FWIW...I have the mirrored.. will be switching to polished stainless

I may be somewhat biased but I like the look. I think the indent looks like GM forgot to put on that piece of trim.

I plan to do this soon, but I am having trouble deciding what color letters to put on an Anniversary Red car. I wish there was something that matched the color of the wheels, but I can't find anything.

I also have a silver '99 'vert with blacked out taillights and sidelights etc., I wanted to break up the silver/black look, so I installed red lettering.... looks great!

I have a '98 silver with a black top and did the red lettering. Enough black and silver...

I saw a red C5 with the silver lettering on the rear end. That would be my choice...

Would have liked to match the wheels also but the stainless looks great with the exhaust tips and trunk logo. JMO

AS you can see, I apparently have a "thing" for a contrasting letter set on the tail - - -I've used the polished stainless on the Anniversary . . .the domed red on the other two - - I think all from RPI Designs in Ohio.

I don't like it personally. It's obviously a Corvette, doesn't need to be spelled out in huge letters :-)

It is a Corvette already. If you need reassurance, drive it to a Chevrolet dealership- and get a second opinion.
