Default Anyone know what is missing in photos?

Just got my 2003 back after having a new clutch installed. Got it home and noticed something missing. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance for any help. 327carguy

Yes, the cover for your inside temp sensor is missing.

Look around the floor and under the seat. It might just be there.

There is no Inside ambient temp sensor for a car with manual HVAC controls. If you have the digital dual climate controls then you are missing the sensor along with the cover.

The OP has the dual system. First photo shows the "Drivers" blue side button with the far left "OFF" button for the dual climate. A bit hard to see but easily distinguishable from manual controls.

I'd echo what a lot of others have said. Check all around the floor board for the cover as it could have popped off. I found both of my door card behind handle plugs lying near the seat rails after they popped off and it took me a while to notice.

The sensor cover is missing but it appears the sensor itself is still there. Here is a link to a couple of photos of the sensor so you can double check: https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corv...1997-2004.html

Those covers can pop off there pretty easily. I agree with doing a thorough search.

It's amazing how many little plastic parts suddenly give up the ghost on our C5s as they get older. I was sitting at a stop light when the driver's side A-pillar vent simply fell off. I then noticed the tab was broken and guess what, GM doesn't sell just the vent, you have to order the entire A-pillar. Luckily I found a replacement piece online.

Thank you. The car does have dual controls. I still have not found the original cover but the shop that replaced the clutch said they had removed the entire surround when working on the car's shifter. They have ordered me a new cover and said it happens often.

It's great that the shop is taking care of the new cover for you. Unfortunately, too many places would swear it was on when you left and it's your problem. Sounds like a first class shop.

Something I found to be totally unexpected up here in New York. It has made me happy with my decision to go with this shop. Although I only have about 50 miles on the Vette since the clutch, I would recommend them. I need it to stop raining everyday so I can get some miles on it.
