C5 Guys question
A friend and I are having a debate over the U shaped license plate frame/surround on the front plate. He says they were all black. I think the lower trim line cars were black but the upper trim line cars the frame was painted to match the car. Can anyone set the record straight?

All of the front license plate surrounds were black from the factory. If you see one painted, it has been done since the car was bought.
