Tinting always diminishes light output, so your light performance will be worse rather than better.

Do a search on this forum for "MOSTPLUS" and you'll see that many of us are very happy with the MOSTPLUS LED headlight bulbs.

Do you have a recommendation? 9012 HIR2 perhaps?

Would be my default suggestion for someone not looking to spend the big money on true HID projectors. I hear Radioflyer is going to have a sale soon.

I did the 9011 and 9012 HIR 2 swap, it was an improvement, not a great amount, but an improvement, proper aiming helps greatly

Me, too. Like you said, an improvement but not great. Finally went to projectors. Now THAT was an improvement!

These new beamtech LED bulbs are pretty darn good.

Amazon Amazon

Granted I am not using them in stock pop ups but I use them as my low beams and fogs and find them to work very well.

I put Silverstar bulbs into my stock housings and raised them a bit - performance on low-beams is "good" - but high-beams are worthless.

I bought some "repaired Chinese housings" from Radio Flyer that came with HID projectors and LED high beams. These aftermarket housings are still one-piece (high-beam not separately aimable) - but I was told "The LED high-beams are so bright that the aim is not critical." Also I noted that the LED's in the high-beams have a heat sink - and that part of it has been ground off - word from Radio Flyer is that "the lifting arm will interfere with the heat sink." I have yet to verify all of this - but wanted to share what I've learned for those looking for info on this topic. Will post an update when I get around to the installation...

Best performing/easiest to install headlights available are our Bi-xenon ACA headlights.

I have a S&D set available here for $100+ off normal retail price:

I bought a pair of low and high beam bulbs [LED] from CARIFEX and am having trouble. Plugging them in I only get 1 high beam to work but both low beams do not work but yet hook them directly to 12v battery on the Corvette then 1 low beam works and the other 1 does not. Hook up both high beam bulbs and they both work. Still working with carifex to see what they say.

They say I need the canbus system for their bulbs. What I have been seeing on their web site I do not see any canbus bulbs. I ask them if I could send them back, no reply as of yet

check the polarity by turning the connector plug the other way. also, LED lows often won't draw enough power to trigger the raising/lowering motors without adding a resistor in-line (which gets hot).

Got a email from them this AM and they said that the canbus system was $24.95 for 2, and they said they would give me 20% off. They also said I could send back but a restocking fee would be charged , but did not say how much. I have 1 bulb that does not work at all and am trying to find out if they are going to replace it. When all is said n done this is the last time I will ever do any kind of business with them.
