Default Corvette Club of Iowa

Hey guys, I hang out in the c3 forum, and asked this question but didn’t get a response. Just wondering if any members here are in the Corvette Club of Iowa. Just looking for some information about the club and members. I’ve been to the website, but would like to talk to someone that’s actually involved with it. Thanks.

Sorry - I'm far away (although I have family in IA).
A suggestion might be to also post your question in the Regional Discussion that handles Iowa: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/great-lakes-43/.
Best wishes with this!

You might try using Yahoo search or Google and type in “Corvette Club of Iowa” as the search terms. When I did it, it brought up a link to their website and had a Contact Us link.

You'll have to go to a few of their meetings. I quit 2 clubs after seeing first hand what the people were like. Most of their cars are garage queens. I had a karaoke party and expected the street to be lined with vettes. Nope, only a few, the rest drove their DD.

I went to one of their meetings and that was the last one. Their were about 80 people there, and the vast majority were way more interested in planning the next "burger joint run" than anything else. About 6 or 8 were actually interested in autocross racing and planning an event where they were going to rent the Newton Speedway. They were BEGGING for people to help run the event, and nobody was interested. Honest to GOD, the average age had to be in the 70's.

When they started talking about taking a "corvette cruise" on a cruise ship, wife and I bailed.

The club has a pretty bad rep locally among other car clubs and places that put on car nights. Now I know why.
