Default APSIS splash guard info please now that theve been around for years

Folks,

I am looking at the rear APSIS splash guards for my 99 to help with my forgestar f14 poke. I think this will mask some of it. If there was another way I would do that first BUT.........

So here are my questions since there seem to be a ton of posts from around 2010 -13 so people should have some experience with them..
1) Can they be installed with tape only or some other method that does not require me to drill into my torch red paint?
2) Have they held up over the years without chipping ans such? I am not painting them so the flat black ones is what I am looking at.
3) Has the tape become unglued over time where the guard is developing gaps between it and the fender?
4) Has it protected your car to your satisfaction?
5) Has there been any marks or damage to your paint under the guard? I may remove at some point.
6) I assume the 3m tape will not harm the paint upon removal, correct?

Thanks folks.....The main issue is item #1, but the others matter too.....

I have a 99 torch red and I have those splash guards. I do not believe that you can attach them with tape. I drilled the holes. As I recall, the holes are in the fender lip and there are only 2, possibly 3. I did not paint mine and they are in excellent shape, just like new. My car is a play toy and I only do 1,000 to 2,000 miles per year

I have had mine on for close to 14 years. They only attach with two screws to each fender lip. Yes they have held up well and have protected the rear fenders. They still look new and very easy to maintain. Had I to do it all over again I would go with the clear bra type immaterial and not drill the holes. Once they are drilled you can't undo it without a lot of expense. Good luck with which ever way you go.

I can't seem to upload pics to the forum for some reason. If you pm me I can text or email some. They're new and never installed, so not much to see.

Same here. You will need screws but the splash guards work well.

Guys,

Is there any way somebody can take a pic or even better measure the rear splash guard since you have it installed? I have seen many pics but I really am looking for how far these stick out from the fender of the car at the very top of the splash guard and the bottom most part of the guard before it goes into the wheel well. I am trying to fill as much of the gap as I can as I installed new wheels that poke out past the fender. I love my wheels but not the poke but if these can hide some of the poke then its something that will ease my mind...I am very **** when it comes to dimensions....So three measurements would be great...Top of guard, middle of guard and close to bottom would be great and much appreciated.......Also, does this guard cover ALL of the painted fender lip behind the rear wheels, so in the wheel well itself? Some pics I've seen show the painted part of the lip still visible with these guards on...If that is the case I would assume the non-covered part looks like crap...Please let me know...Thanks very much

I see you are in NJ, arte you going to the Kerbeck Toys For Tots run this Saturday? If so you can view mine in person my 04Z. If not then I can take some pictures for you on Saturday when I have the car out of the garage. If you go I will be easy to find, I will be parked at the front of the event with Corvette Caravan swag all over my car.

I wish I could go, but my wife just had surgery so I need to be home....Any chance you can take a quick measurement or two? Are you happy with them??
