How to fill this gap in the weatherstripping?
I've had some trouble with water leaks on the passenger side of my car and tracked it down to a couple of gaps where the weatherstripping meets the roof. One of them is circled in red above. The weatherstripping has pulled away slightly so when I wash it and water gets into that channel it runs through to the inside.
It seems like I should be able to stick some caulk or something in the hole and plug it up, but I'm not sure what to use. It looks like a previous owner already did that to the driver's side, but I don't know what they used. Is there anything specific to this application or do I just find some black silicone caulk or something?

Try using a little bit of Permatex Adhesive Sealant (Black Silicone), Part #81158 - available at most auto parts stores. I used this to repair a small tear in my weatherstripping, but I don't see why it couldn't work to reattach the weatherstrip so it closes the gap where the water is coming in. It is worth a shot.
