Just received a lip type spoiler from RPI Designs and was wondering what's the best way if any to install it before I tackle it? read online that where you put the dbl.sided tape is critical for proper fitting??? The pic is not of my car , just showing what type of spoiler it is. Basically looking for tips from anyone that has this spoiler. Thanks
A critical part of the installation is to wipe the area where the tape will be placed on the car with 3M Adhesion Promotor. This will ensure that the tape sticks fully and will not come off.
I've had mine now for several yrs & have had no issues w/it & it still looks like new. I bought extra double sided tape & used a lot of it. If I remember, I heated the spoiler (in the sun) to make it a little more flexible & used a hair dryer. It also helps a lot to have an extra pair of hands. I used alcohol to clean the surfaces b-4 using the tape. Test fit it to your liking. Good Luck!
