Default Serpentine Belt

Good morning,

I need to replace the serpentine belt on my 2003 Corvette 50th anniversary edition. What brand do you recommend? what is the OEM brand? Do they use AC Delco?

Continental Elite, swear by them.
I installed IIRC Dayco belts on my car and within a year they were making noise. My CE belts have been on for around 4 years of daily driving (except winter).
Factory? Unsure.

The last “factory” belt I saw was GM Part #12572188 (replacement part # for 12561501). Stamped on the belt was Dayco 20-9472.
Newer ACDelco numbers appear to be 19244950 and 19172680.
Many people like the old Goodyear belt which is now the Continental Elite (suggested by grantv), part number 4040420 Poly-V/Serpentine Belt (about $20 at Amazon).
“While you are there” you might as well replace the A/C compressor belt; GM part # 12559326.
Best wishes with your fix.

Not sure why "numbers" is showing up red, but no significance to it.

The GM Part # 12559326 is not coming up as a valid part number on Amazon with respect to the AC compressor belt. Is that the correct part number?

I show GM 19172680 for the AC belt, 19244950 for the main drive.

Either way, I only use Continental Elite belts on my cars.

I don't know if they are still available, but the Gates Racing Blue belts are fantastic!

ETA: Now they are calling them "RPM" belts....

We can over analyze these things. Yours lasted 15 years so far and I'm assuming that you're replacing it as a pre-caution due to age. A GM replacement belt will work just fine!
