All do. Some variants have rubber instead of metal grommets, but all should fit.
Be aware the ***** style changed in mid 2008, pre and post that date are not interchangeable and require different boots,
If you are buying new, be aware GM has changed the part number several times, To further complicate it, the shifter for the c5, 6 and 7 are the same part number - and your local dealer will likely want a serial number from a C6 to get the “right” part.
It is probably marginally cheaper to get the shifter from one place, **** somewhere else, and boot from a 3rd source, but if you want to avoid the headache of trying to match the correct timeframes for the different parts, then I believe trunkmonkey sells a complete kit.
Most people prefer the 09 and up Z06 shifter. My suggestion is that if you're going to go through the effort of buying a shifter assembly anyways then you might as well pony up for the best that you want.
Lots of good reviews from people that are having their stock lower box rebuilt, as an option. Check the for sale section. That said I have a C6 shifter and it's a nice upgrade over a C5 but can get pricey with the shifter and ****, and a new boot or modifying yours.
I bought a post mid-2008 shifter new from a local dealer, the **** and boot from 2 different people on CF.
Including taxes/shipping, was somewhere around 210, IIRC

This, I did in fact have my lower box rebuilt a couple weeks before my shifter install.
Be aware that the bend in the lever moves the shift **** rearwards. Some like that, some (like me) don't. It's a matter of where your hand naturally falls - I pulled my C6 shifter and ended up with a rebuilt and shortened "straight" C5 shifter, with the shaft threaded down to the insulator. Construction wise, the mechanism is the same as the C5.

it also depends on what you get used to.
I didn’t have issues with the stock C5 shifter until after I had driven my 7 for a while.
I when the C5 was in 1, 3, or 5, I’d reach for the shifter and miss because the 7 is farther back and lower.
I’d also sometimes not get 3 or 5 fully engaged b/c of the different position relative to the C7 shifter.
Installing the C6 shifter eliminated both problems, and seems to have reduced shift effor as well.
I have a C6 shifter that has been shortened and modified for C5 handle. It was an improvement over stock C5. I then swapped it out for MGW. PM me if you're interested.
