I took apart m 03 zo6 trunk switch, much to my dismay the rubber funnel shaped vacuum part fell out. Need to know what direction to reinstall it, cone toward front or rear of car.
Picture of traction control button, maybe this helps, looks like small portion of the cone is towards the button, truck switch could be same way, I apparently did not take picture of trunk switch.

Thanks Steve, I think the large end of they cone goes against the circuit board. Had to take the switch out to remove the hush panel, switch fell apart.
Got the release switch working. Light gray rubber cone is installed large end towards the circuit board, There are two round castings on the button side of the switch, place the gray cone small end in the center casting.
