I've owned a few C7's and a C6 and can say without a doubt that the C5 is still my all time favorite. I miss my C5Z more than any car I've ever owned. AWESOME cars...

Even though I added a 19' Z06 to the stable, I still have my C5 vert. It drives and performs better now, 14 years later, than it did new. I've personalized it to my liking and I've modernized the interior, lighting while also tweaking the performance and adding suspension improvements.
I think a well-maintained C5 has a timeless design and I think the C5 in general will age better than the C6. The fact that I still get many compliments on a 14 year old car says a lot about the C5 design. In many ways I'm more protective of my C5 than my C7Z because of the amount of sweat equity I have invested in it, plus they don't make them anymore.

Coming up on 18 years old. Still looks “fluid” to me. Timeless.

I drive down the vegas strip, head to local spots, car meets, etc....I'll tell you, I'm honestly surprised by how much and how frequently people look, comment and commend my old bastard. I tend to not notice, nor care what people think...frankly I had a couple Ferraris, Porsche, and a Lambo and I hate attention so I quit driving them. It's why I never sold my C5Z all those years...I sold those instead. I don't care what people think but, yeah, I'll say, these are aging very, very well. C5 still had very traditional Corvette lines, so 40+yr old people still see it as very attractive. On the younger spectrum, the FD RX7 is still a VERY relevant car in the import and younger car culture, and C5 has similar lines to that car, which plays in C5's favor with the younger crowd.
I had my car wrapped, widebodied and now went back N/A and narrow body (temporarily)....I have always gotten (unwanted) attention in the car. The older it gets, and the less people notice, the happier I'd be about it....I just built it to make me happy, not bystanders.
