C5 or c6?

From my experience the build quality is better on the C5 vs the C6 unless you get one of the later model C6s (2011-2013) - but you probably wont find those in the teens. I'd stick with a C5, throw in a better shifter (C6, MGW, pick your poison) if it's a M6 and enjoy.

If you buy the right deal Z06 you wont lose a dime. I bought my C5Z in 2011 for 7k less than I was offered cash-in-hand last yr. Granted I ourchased in the downturn when nothing was selling, and I sold a Ferrari Testarossa for 32k...lets not talk about that.
That said, 02-04 C5Z's are stable and the best buy of the two gens if you dont want to lose money.
