C6 shifter installed

I did my first mod today, i picked up a c6 shifter with about 3500 miles on it for 70 bucks. The install was so easy compared to the old 335i I had. It definitely makes the throw just a little bit shorter, not a huge difference but enough to give it a much sportier feeling. The shift **** feels much better in my hand, I dont feel like I'm grabbing a baseball anymore! Lol.

I did the same mod, my dad went with an MGW and I swapped his into my Z. I love it.

I agree. I put in a C6 Z06 shifter in my 98 and I liked it allot. Like you said, it feels better in your hand than the stock C5.

I have a C 6 zo6 shifter in and love it. However, if you use the c6 shift boot, make sure you make the c6 shift boot wire smaller or it may crack the bezel. (Ask me how I know)

Here's my hybrid. C6 'straightened' shaft mated to an MGW shifter with a C4 ****. Still looks like OE ..., but shorter throw, very precise, low effort (did the dent mod)
