door panel plug
how come the trim piece behind the interior handle does not fit right. seems like tabs hit the screws, hence why they bend and break

Mine fit fine. I replaced them because they were missing when I bought the car. My understanding is, they break when trying to remove them.

Never had a problem with those panels staying secure on my cars. Are you sure you have the screw that is located behind the panel all the way in?

Either door card has physical damage or yeah the screw is preventing it from fully seating.
Dalton who runs CorvetteClips makes a 3D printed version that is of much better quality than the GM replacement. The OEM ones can snap even without trying to remove them due to age and how little material is on the clasp part.

Thanks for posting this.
I went to the web site and now my wallet is out $55. Don't NEED anything but I WANT the personalized door clips, weather seal clips, and sun visor delete covers.

I've used 3m body side molding tape to hold mine in.

I have got to see your car in person, the level of detail you have in your car is pretty crazy. You an engineer?

Mine broke when they took them off to get to the door speakers. You can get them on ebay for ten bucks for a pair.

Thanks for the compliment, I am not an engineer though. I’m an aircraft mechanic actually.

That’s an idea. Might have to look into that. Thanks.

All is well here at the home front. Hope it's all good with you also. I just recently bought them and got them installed. They also have a lifetime warranty if they should ever break.
