Well it's been 6 months since I purchased my one owner C5 convertible and I absolutely love this car. A little history, the original owner bought and drove this car all the time. He took unbelievable care of it always following the service schedule and only GM parts used when needed. The car has one really great repaint and looks fantastic. I can't go anywhere without getting compliments. Now I live in southern Arizona where car's don't age especially as far as rusting etc. The underneath of it looks like it's a year or so old even though it's a 2003! Now the big thing, it has 160,000 miles on it and no one can believe it especially ME. It was always garaged and pampered by the senior citizen who owned it. I recently did a full service and tune up and couldn't believe how great the spark plugs looked. They needed to be replaced but they looked like new, in fact I have never seen plugs that were worn looking like this in the 40 years of being a mechanic!!! I didn't even bother with a compression test. I replaced everything including the injectors and MAF sensor. It came with flow through Exhaust and cold air dual intake and everything else is stock. Well I thought it ran great before but now with the new injectors (it ran fine but I wanted to go through everything) from AUS and iridium plugs new filters everywhere and all the fluids changed it is unbelievably fast for a LS1. In fact I checked the numbers on the engine to see if it was a Z06 engine that's how quick this car is. It has new tires, run flats from Goodyear that break loose almost too easily. The rear end gears are 3:15. This was the not only a fantastic buy but no surprises so far. I'm waiting on a Hypertech power programmer that I picked up cheap. I can't wait to see how much of a difference it makes. I don't want to put headers or any other upgrades with the exception of a throttle body that I got off a new take off from a ZO6 that I'm going to massage and polish. I went over every inch of the suspension and nothing is worn or broken. The brakes are like new and im loving how it handles. Oh it's millennium yellow with a black top and Interior with chrome 5 spoke wheels. Needless to say I stick out wherever I go. I've had it up to 140mph but that was before the tune. I want to top 150 only cause I can and the roads around here are safe for that kind of speed. Who knows what top end will be??? Kind of a bucket list item for me. LOL. Anyway I thought I'd share my love affair with my new to me C5. IvI' owned many fast cars of all makes and models and this is my favorite up to now. Thanks for your time reading this and if you have any comments fire away!!!
Ok guys I need some help with adding my pics which I've never done on this site. I've tried but it doesn't link to my post. I'm not as savy as I'd like to be on these sites. Thanks!!!

Reason: Add pictures
When properly maintained these cars will go hundreds of thousands of miles.Sounds like you got a nice one.
Top speed of the C5 Coupe with a 6 speed manual is 175 mph.
Congratulations on a great first six months of C5 ownership! Sounds like the car was well maintained by the prior owner and that you'll do the same great job of caring for her.
But.........................PICS!

Mine is an automatic and from what I've read, 180's is possible but 150 or so is good enough for me I think! Lol 😎
Where in southern AZ? And yeah, pics are pretty much required at this point.
Im in the Sahuarita, Green Valley area. And interstate 19 is long and straight in many areas and vacant of traffic in the early AM and late PM. And no smokies most of the time. You have to live dangerously to feel alive from time to time.
Sounds like you are detailed oriented. Looking forward to the pics
Im a big believer in preventive maintenance and some things just plain wear out after time and mileage. I picked up 5 mpg and that's with driving like I stole it! The injectors are a little too big (320cc) so I'm changing them to the 275's which are close to the stock ones. But first I'm going to try to remap the ECU because besides a too rich code popping up the car runs great with clean tailpipes. My new programmer is due today or tomorrow so I'll see what I can do.
I absolutely love it!!! And if you would have asked me the same question before I got mine I would have said it was an ok color. Once you have one you don't want any other color!!!

Thanks but can you upload more than one picture? Or do you have to go back to a new post every time? Thanks for your help!!!

Yes - you can upload several at a time all at once. The only way to get good at this is just try it... You have a post going here...upload one picture and then post again and try to upload 2 or 3 at a time...its not that hard, its harder to read about doing it...
PS - Turn off BOLD - you dont need it for every post...only when you want to point out some specific - like THIS!
