Ok-I know this might seem stupid. Just thinking "out loud."
Couple weeks ago I noticed my drivers side day time running light was out. No biggie. Ordered switchbacks from RadioFlyer. (Have NOT installed them yet)
I don't drive my car every day. Next time I drove though-both DRLs were working. Same thing next time.
Now, this evening while sitting in my garage with the car on. Drivers side DRL went out.
Here is the question-if it were some type of fuse or relay, both would go out. 1 goes out-probably the bulb....right. Makes sense?
Might try and install the switchbacks tomorrow-we'll see.

Could be a loose connection with the bulb or a problem with the socket. You may have to get access to the bulb and check to see where the problem may lie.

Yeah, could be. But If I'm putting it up on the race ramps switchbacks are going in. LOL
You may want to get replacement housings before swapping in those expensive LEDs. Chances are your housings are cracked, water got in and corroded your sockets, and that's why you're getting intermittent DRLs.

I probably should have mentioned...already on my 3rd set of housings....
Stock, then blacked out, 2nd set of blacked out after finish on 1st set bubbled.
When I installed the 2nd set of black outs, that's when I installed LEDS, and a hyperflash harness.
I've had incandescent bulbs do that a few times... most recent example, license plate light on our G8 . it was out. I tapped it it came back on. Sometimes it was on, sometimes off. replaced the bulb and all is good. It can be the filament being broken, but still touching. I wouldn't worry about it unless the issue continues after bulb swap.
I've had HIDs do it to -- but thats what they do when they are dying. that and turn pink.
