New to the section, old time member got his C5 fix
Hi,
I just want to say hi to the section as I usually gerrymander over in the C4 section or OT but I bought a C5Z with ModRed interior over the summer. I thought I'd say HELLO now that I added a few small mods as she was bone stock previously - Haltech Intake, B&B PRT exhaust, HyperTech Programmer (I know I know but mainly for adjusting the fan temps), BDE-Systems Lowering Kit, Fikse FM5 wheels, subtle tint & upgraded stereo. I have been eyeballing a complete 1 7/8" longtube setup from TPS (looking at you Mike) and tune. That's it for now, besides been working on finding the sweet spot for the MN12. Car's been great except for the occasional sticky clutch after some hard runs so I'l have to look at that.
Anyways, I've had an F-Body and still have a couple of C4s but I've always loved the body of the FRC Vettes so snagged me one and here she is:

Sir, that car is SICK as the youngsters like to say.
Nice choice. I love FRCs and wish I had one, but I just couldn't pass up the coupe I have. They will always be my first choice though!

Nice ride.
Clutch pedal is sticking because the clutch disk can’t hold the torque and is spinning against the flywheel/pressure plate which heats the pressure plate and the fingers (prong looking springs) that push your slave cylinder back into place when not in use, and by default your clutch pedal, gets heat fatigue and doesn’t spring the slave cylinder back like it should.
Notice it gets better after the clutch cools a bit and then you beat on the car again it gets worse? That’s heat causing it. You need a better clutch. Change the slave and master while there and also rebuild the torque tube (bearings at least, the front one will come back to haunt you if not).

Thank you guys, it's been a fun car to get into the weekly rotation. Feels like lately I've been slacking on working on the cars, maybe it's the weather or the season but been lazy lately.
Anyways thanks for the advice on the clutch, definitely going to have to keep an eye on it.
