Default Can anyone identify this?

I was working inside the inner fender to repair a vacuum line this weekend and found this sitting in the cavity. It appears to be a screen, made of m

etal.

It is an aftermarket mesh screen that is installed inside the cove openings for appearance purposes. It is held on with double sided tape when installed properly. The black plastic block off plate is removed, the screen installed and then the black block off plate is re-installed.

Thank you Jack, that makes sense. I don't think I'll be re-installing these.

Looks like a home made device used to scratch the S**T out of your paint the instant it touches!

Probably DIY screen installed in front of air dam. Keeps leaves and debris from going up into radiator. I made one also, but I anchored it along inside of front bumper. C5 is a ground feeder.

Installed in front of air dam to prevent debris from clogging radiator.
