C6 Z06 shocks on rockauto.

Just curious.... It probably depends on how hard you drive(?) but at what kind of range in miles, people usually change shocks? I have 04Z06 with 45K miles. Since I didn't buy it new, I don't know how the brand new shocks feel...
And the other question is, if I wanted my car to be a bit softer ride, any recommendation for the shocks?
Thanks!

Rockauto discount code
Just a “FYI” I tried the 98#<###<# code to get an additional 5% off but after entering it in the correct space it had no effect on the final price. Tried it twice.

I can give you a 5% promo code if you're still interested. PM me and Ill send it over. Rockauto just sent me one the other day but I dont plan on buying any parts in the near future.

$224 shipped to CT from RockAuto. Good price. A lot cheaper than the struts I’m used to buying and easier to install. Cams may require some thought but this is a no brainer for the performance-oriented.

Apple Pie is probably more Dutch and English than American so we can probably let GM off the hook. Under NAFTA, parts of both Mexican and Canadian origin can be considered “domestic” content. My Toyota Camry has more domestic content than the “all-American” Chevy Silverado.

Never replaced shocks in any vehicle I own.
I'm not sure I'm sensitive enough to tell ths difference. Other than the decrease in my bank account.
I own a 01 z06. I dont race.
Help me see the light.

Question: who has gone from C5 Z06 (not base C5) shocks to these C6 Z06 shocks, and is it worth the upgrade? What are the differences?

Advanced
Just checked the price at RockAuto. With the 5% discount (thanks Yello95) I’m getting them for $202.88 prior to shipping. About $14 to ship. Seems like a screaming deal.

Prices went up. This year the same shocks on RockAuto are about 338 after tax and shipping
