Someone needs to put this C5 down...

I always found it intriguing that so many people butcher Corvettes. It's like a perpetual American Rice trend that rivals Civics from the Fast and Furious era. Hillbillies like vettes I guess.

That’s an insult to hillbillies!
But I never put down someone attempts at customization even if I would never do it myself. I always try to consider the quality level of the execution as much as the end result aesthetically.

The owner probably loves it. Nothing wrong with that as the world would be boring as heck if everyone liked the same thing.
The car is not modded to my taste, but that’s OK.

It appears the designer is the seller.
In the vehicle specifics it says For Sale By John Golden
Designed by John Golden who was an engineer who was credited for developing the creation of metallurgy which was the application of metal and plastic that produced the B2 Bomber at Northrop Grumman. Unfortunately, his career ended abruptly as he was arrested for possession of two joints of Marijuana and was convicted for distribution and sentenced to two years in prison. Only after he returned to society from his incarceration was he to create his Legacy with GOLDEN CONSTRUCTION. Thus we have "THE CAR"

Relax, it's a custom car based on a C5. They are cheap enough now to be a near perfect starting point for someone to do their own thing. In his case, he obviously liked Ferraris but could not afford one, so he built a sorta, kinda look alike..
There used to be "Ferrari" kit cars for Chevy powertrains - as I recall, they used three of them in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but I believe Ferrari started going after anyone who made anything that looked too close to the real thing. Just as M-B does with knock off Gullwings.

It does sort of have that Ferrari thing going on, at least from the frontal shot. It is not my cup of tea but as pointed out of couple of times above if the owner is happy with it, well then, god bless him! The car hobby is about making yourself happy with whatever flavor of ride you choose. I'd bet dollars to donuts that there is a ton of money tied up there!
