Self service car wash in Las Vegas
HELP!
I'm three days new relocating to LV from Delaware. While my car was on an open transport with my other two vehicles, it accumulated "road wash" which included salt/brine.
So my question is, where can I take my 04 vert, so that: I can wash myself (a wand place is fine), that I can use my own bucket and soap. Dry and vacuum.
Why not at my house that I leased? Because the d*mn HOA forbids washing a car in the driveway (seriously?).
I'm in the Enterprise area, off of Blue Diamond.
Thanks, brothers and sisters!

LasVegas HOA's.....abundant and a pain in the ***. We are lookin in Summerlin and Enterprise, but we're up in BoulderCity right now. Shame LV is dominated by HOA's, plans and management companies...makes the living situation the part I like least about Vegas. Love the mountains, weather, variety of food and activities but....housing is the one side I don't care for. Houses on cramped lots, all look the same, HOA's and walls...kinda funky. I'd like to buy up toward Centennial and MT Charleston area...still can buy some room up there.

Try contacting forum member Vegas Jen and ask about a car wash. She may be able to give you a good location to use.

Are there no neighborhoods in the Vegas area without HOA's or are they overrun with them? We have them here in the Dallas area and surrounding suburbs, but there are also several neighborhoods without. When my wife and I looked for houses to purchase 2 years ago one of our stipulations was no HOA since they have some quirky rules with fineable offenses. OP hopefully you can find a DIY car wash place.

FINES? Really? So who gets the money? And since when does an HOA acquire governmental power? And what do they do if you say "screw your fine"? Repossess your house? Evict you? Are there elections on occasion or are these people appointed for life?

HOAs SUCK!!!! My girlfriend and I have been looking at houses for the past couple of years and one thing we agreed on was NO HOAs. You actually pay someone to enforce rules on you, just plain stupid to do.
To the OP, don't break the rules, they will make life rough on you. Just take a bucket and sponge, find a near by coin operated car wash. Wet the car, wash the car by hand, then rinse the car. Simple. I've done this going top car shows as my cars got caught in the rain going to a show. Of course, don't do this if there is a line waiting to wash their cars, they'll make life rough on you too

But no HOA? I'm following a thread on FB that is apparent that someone bought a very nice house in a neighbourhood without an HOA for the express purpose of stirring things up. They've painted their entire house a bright pink. Including the roof. They're now putting up a 10' privacy fence around the sides and back and will likely paint it pink too.

Interesting opinions here on HOAs. I own two properties, both with HOAs. For most homes I believe it’s a must have to protect value and the only way I’d purchase real estate. Is this a single-family home or condo? Many condo associations do not allow vehicle washing. Or possibly this is a county/city code enforcement.

Another very large negative involving HOA's is their monthly charges only go one way - NORTH !! In some communities homeowners aren't even allowed to display our flag on patriotic holidays such as July 4th., Flag Day, or Memorial Day to honor our fallen heroes... I know it's easy for people on here to say move someplace else, but given a choice I'd find a house outside the confines - and authority - of a HOA...

Oasis self car wash right off of the 215 and Eastern is a good car wash. I use it every week. The automatics are touch free. If you use them, use the one on the right. The dryers are better.

CFOT Attention Whore
Anyway, I can't be of too much help. As Murrat will attest, I am not huge on cleaning my car! The rare occasions I do, I take a bucket, soapy water and rag to the coin-op car wash on Van Wagnenen and Lake Mead in Henderson. Not supposed to do it that way, but nobody has run me off yet. Of course, I only wash my car two or three times a year anyway.
