I get off at the second Commerce exit - you see the mall on you left just before you exit. You turn left at the end of the ramp, there is a Chick fil le (SP) on the right side. Next light turn left, then 1st right, track is a mile down on the right. If you get lost call my cell 770 855 7141.

Haven't heard from Optic, but I think he is afraid :)

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I really wanted to see what my Z06 could do at the track, especially with my stereo weight and my big butt in the seat.
sigh.
I went to your website to see why you call yourself Iron Nipplez and I noticed you have a black Z06 listed as SOLD and traded for a BMW. I assume you decided to get another silver Z06?
Sounds like a potentially interesting story...
Teddy came out in his Z06, got some good runs in - he needs to get his T1 so the filter will stay on, I hope to help him with that tomorrow.
The yellow Z06 that runs there on most weekends (some mods) was running 12.7's. He usually runs mid-12's but again the track was not there for us.
Ryan AND Eric showed up in their Vipers. I will have to say those friggin Vipers are CHICK MAGNETS. After our first race a young gal comes up to Ryan and asks how much he beat me by. I said - uh not quite, she say's "sorry, I was only looking at his car" :) :) I allowed as how Viper owner's had to compensate for an underdeveloped manhood, Vette guys did not, she laughed so at least I felt a little better.
My MPH was about average - 117.2 - 117.5. My best run of the night was actually my last run, lowest MPH but better 60' - because I went and got 5 gallons of gas (to take me to a 1/2 tank) which helped keep the rear in check. My first run (1st guy down the track) was so slippery I went a little sideways on the 3-4 shift and crossed into the right lane a little. Not Fun :)
I got a new best 1/8 MPH on this run, by nearly a full MPH - again cool air I assume. Like I said 60' times were terrible (2.1X) until I put some gas in it and managed a 2.0X on the last run (against Eric) follows. If I could just get my 60' times back to the 1.8X and 1.9X I was getting in the summer I would have that 11 second slip - shoot :(

60'............2.031

MPH.........93.75
1000'.......10.365

Ryan did well in his Viper GTS considering he has very little drag race experience. With practice and a little more power he might be able to hang with me - who knows :) AKA now Ryan can spank by butt at Road Atlanta in a few weeks.

PS: Optic didn't show, what can I say ..... :smash: :smash:

Actually, the M3 was an amazing car. BUT . . . . there was the little issue of exploding engines. I didn't want to live with that possibility, so . . . .
Plus, I really missed the V8. My girlfriend jokes that the Corvette is a better fit for me, "because it's more powerful and less refined." :) She's right.
And there really isn't a good reason for the screenname. I was a sculpture major at the University of Georgia. I think, at the time, that we were preparing for a big iron pour. and Nipplez are just funny. :yesnod:
And the name had a certain ring to it.
My best run of the night (2nd run) which I believe my T1 filter was still attached.
60'............2.105
330...........5.533
1/8............8.303
MPH.........90.54
1000'.......10.658
1/4..........12.643
mph.........113.35
It was nice meeting the viper guys. Next time I'll try to bring a little more than an air filter that keeps falling off. :cry

at the event ready to go with a check . THey will have some no shows and
you may get lucky.
Les did anyone get a picture of you in your zo6 or do they just take pictures of the slower cars?
