Got my new Continental Elite (Gaterback) belt from Amazon today. Unfortunately in the pretty Continental sleeve was a Dayco belt. What a disappointment, at least it is just the A/C belt so she is still drivable.
Wait, you got a Dayco belt buying a Continental Elite and in said sleeve. Ouch.
I installed new Dayco belts on my car just after I bought it. Squealed after a few months. Actual Elite belts going on 4+ years... daily for spring, summer and fall, stored winter.
Hope yours is better.
Just to add a little bit of info to this thread. Installing the A/C belt can be quite the pain in the ***. I read somewhere (probably on this forum) last time I changed belts that was quite helpful. If you remove the upper idler pully for the A/C belt and get the belt on then push the tensioner down and slide the idler pully back on the install goes much easier. Hope this helps someone.
